The basics

What is Furnished Unfurnished?

Furnished Unfurnished is a rental marketplace connecting landlords who offer furnished or unfurnished mid-term rentals (30 days or longer) with tenants — typically traveling nurses, military personnel, corporate relocators, and remote workers. We are not a booking platform. There are no nightly rates and no booking fees. Landlords and tenants connect directly through the site and arrange rentals themselves.

How much does it cost?

Searching and inquiring about listings is always free for tenants. Landlords pay a subscription per listing: $9.99/month billed monthly, or $79.99/year billed annually (the equivalent of about $6.67/month). There are no booking fees, no commission, and no per-transaction charges on either side.

Do you charge booking or service fees?

No. Furnished Unfurnished is a lead-generation marketplace, not a booking platform. We do not handle rent payments, security deposits, or lease agreements. Landlords and tenants connect through the site and complete the rental directly between themselves. We charge landlords a flat subscription fee to advertise their properties — nothing more.

For tenants

How do I find a rental?

Searching and browsing listings is completely free — no account required. Use the search bar on the homepage to search by city, or browse all active listings. When you find a property you like, create a free tenant account and click "Inquire" to send the landlord a message. All communication happens through our built-in messaging system.

How do I contact a landlord about a listing?

On any listing page, click the "Inquire" button. You will need a free tenant account to send a message. Once you submit your inquiry, a private message thread opens between you and the landlord. All follow-up communication, including scheduling viewings and negotiating terms, happens in that thread in your Messages tab.

For landlords

How do I list my property?

Sign up for a landlord account, then follow the step-by-step listing wizard. You will enter your property details, upload photos, set your monthly rent and availability, and choose a subscription plan ($9.99/month or $79.99/year per listing). Once payment is confirmed your listing goes live and is immediately searchable by tenants.

How do I cancel my landlord subscription?

You can cancel at any time from your Billing settings under your landlord account. For monthly plans, your listing stays active until the end of the current billing period — there are no prorated refunds for partial months. For annual plans, please contact support@furnishedunfurnished.com and we will review refund eligibility on a case-by-case basis.

Privacy, mobile & support

Is my personal information kept private?

Yes. We collect only the information necessary to run the service (name, email, and profile details you choose to add). We use Supabase for secure database and authentication hosting, Stripe for payment processing (we never store card numbers), and Resend for transactional emails. We do not sell your data or share it with third parties for advertising. See our Privacy Policy for the full details.

Is there a mobile app?

Not yet. A native mobile app built with Expo (iOS and Android) is in development and will launch after the web platform is fully validated. In the meantime, the website is fully responsive and works well on any smartphone browser.

How do I get support?

Email us at support@furnishedunfurnished.com. We aim to respond within one business day. For urgent issues such as billing problems or account access, include as much detail as possible in your email so we can resolve it quickly.
